Mormon's Summary

After waking up I didnt know what or who to believe. Listening to continual false predictions and terrible prep advice, has led me back to the scriptures-- particulaly the Book of Mormon.

When Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith, the message seemed to be, "God is going to build up His kingdom before the judgements and Tribulation that are decreed upon the Earth are carried out." This is what John foretold another angel would say: "Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads." (New Testament, Revelation, Chapter 7:3)

"For behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly shall burn as stubble; for they that come [[whose coming: Christ, 2 Witnesses, Enoch?]]shall burn them, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch"(Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith—History, Joseph Smith—History 1:37)

"he informed me of great judgments which were coming upon the earth, with great desolations by famine, sword, and pestilence; and that these grievous judgments would come on the earth in this generation. (Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith—History, Joseph Smith—History 1:45)

When all is said and done, I wonder if we will see a road map and blueprint of the events in the coming Tribulation laid out in the Book of Mormon. Moroni tells us that he was shown our day, and Six Times the Lord tells us via the Book of Mormon writers that the Book hardly contains "a hundreth part" of the doings of the Nephites. (Jacob 3:13, WofM 1:5, Hel 3:14, 3 Ne 5:8, 3 Ne 26:6, Ether 15:33). That must mean that that what Mormon put in thr Book must have been important. Mormon is not only a prophet but a strategist, and chief captain over all of the Nephite Armies. I can't help but think that this "voice from the dust" with a "familiar spirit" (Isa 29:24) doesn't contain some very critical, and strategic information about the future and what to expect.

Moroni said:
"Behold, the Lord hath shown unto me great and marvelous things concerning that which must shortly come, at that day when these things shall come forth among you. Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing." (Book of Mormon, Mormon, Chapter 8:34-35)

Starting with the Words of Mormon I am going to list the major events of the Book of Mormon and maybe some day in the not-too-distant-future we can look back at this list and maybe see a coorelation between the Book of Mormon events and Events in the Last Days.

King Benjamin Speech ---- (Nephites enter into everlasting covenant)

Burning of Abinadi ---- (Prophet Abinadi is burned and foretells future burning)

"But this much I tell you, what you do with me, after this, shall be as a type and a shadow of things which are to come." (Book of Mormon, Mosiah, Chapter 13:10)
"For he said unto them: What ye shall do unto me shall be a type of things to come." (Book of Mormon, Alma, Chapter 25:10)

Alma in Helem vs Limhi in Nephi ---- (Nephite groups respond patiently or militantly to captivity, Both are eventually delivered)

Apostate Priests of Noah teach Lamanites ---- (wicked priests [Amulonites] responsible for Abinadi's death set up as teachers over the Lamanites and unknowingly prepare them to receive missionaries by teaching literacy)
