Lunar Audio Delay

Audio recording at mission control should have picked up 2.8 seconds of silence before hearing responses. But it did not.  Additionally, the speed of light calculations do not account for the fact that Apollo 11 signals were allegedly received at a dish in Australia, which was then relayed to Houston vis land lines significantly slower than speed of light as anyone who has made an international phone call across an ocean can attest), causing an even greater delay than 2.8 seconds.
