Self-Evident Law: Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". = Conscience, Light of Christ. Not: "he who has the gold makes the rules."
Self-Government: people taught that they will stand before God and be judged according to the Golden Rule.
Life, Liberty, Property: Laws should protect the right to life, free expression of conscience, self-determination, and ownership and control of property.
Separation of Powers: Different people make laws, enforce laws, and interpret laws.
Checks and Balances: law makers, enforcers,and interpreters check each other.
Rule of Law: Law applies to everyone equally including law makers, enforcers, and interpreters.
Habeas Corpus: Right to appear in court before a jury of your peers to face your accuser.
Presumption of Innocence: Accuser has the burden to provide proof of your guilt.
Ex Post Facto: Law cannot apply retroactively.

Why Illicit Drugs are Unnatural and Should Remain Illegal
Let me explain why pre-marital relations, pornography, drugs and alcohol SHOULD remain illegal. All these vices are done for the "on-demand", "any-time" "high" and "pleasure" they produce in the brain.
The brain is all about reward and consequence, pain and pleasure. That's how the brain works. The brain is designed to reward a person with pleasurable and loving sensations for safe, smart and productive behavior. And on the other hand, the brain is made to punish damaging, unsafe and destructive behavior by producing pain and fear. When we feels these sensations, our axons form new connections that reinforce certain memories, thought processes, emotional responses, and behaviors. However, when a person turns to drugs or other vices and "psychotropics", that person is cheating the brain. Psychotropics bypass the normal reward centers of the brain to feel "high" unnaturally. Or in other words, people who use drugs are feeling "high" without earning it.
Feeling good should be earned, not stolen. Pleasure should be the reward for hard work, achieving goals, reinforcing marital relationships, learning something new, or helping your neighbor. The laws of the land should never promote the practice of people "unnaturally" giving themselves "on-demand highs" and "instant gratification" as a reward for sitting on the couch and smoking something.

Dollar Devaluation, Protests, Riots, Gun Confescation, Civil War, Nuclear First Strike
IMF Calls for New World Reserve Currency
This week we were informed that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is calling for a new world reserve currency. Since WW2, the Dollar (USD) filled that role. And with the USD as the world currency, the United States has had the luxury of expanding our global military presence and funding large social programs beyond what we could afford. When the US Congress appropriated money beyond revenues, the US Treasury simply issued bonds to the FED to sell on the world market. Because countries like Germany, China, and Japan had trade deficits with the US, and had lots of USD laying around, and because many resources like oil can only be purchased with USD (Petro-Dollar System), these countries are interested in maintaining a strong USD. Therefore, for the last 65 years, they have been induced into financing our yearly national deficits. However, now that the IMF is calling for a new World Reserve Currency, the Special Drawing Right (SDR), the Dollar and the US is doomed.
US Dollar Devaluation
I am not sure most people understand how precarious our economy is right now. Since the housing collapse in 2007-8 due to the Goldman Sachs fraud and the Bank of International Settlement "Basil II Accords", the only thing that has been propping up our economy thus far has been the TARP bailouts, Quantitative Easing, and Multinational Companies bringing in 1 Trillion in offshore profits tax-free and buying their own stock on the right hand, and selling off their stock options with the left. And finally, the fact that the USD is the world reserve currency.
Special Drawing Rights (SDR)
However, the TARP money is spent, Quantitative Easing has already devalued the USD since 2006. The last leg supporting the US economy is about to be cut out from under us by the IMF. The SDR is not new. Those who are acquainted with the power of the G20/World Bank/IMF/Bank of International Settlement have known about the SDR and have been watching for this move for some time. The US Postal Service has had its clerks converting USD into SDR to determine insurance rates for at least the last year.
Hyperinflation Not Necessary
Some doom and gloomers out there are claiming that the US is poised to experience massive hyperinflation like the Veimar Republic in the 1920's and Zimbabwe in 2000's. This may occur, I can't say for sure one way of another. My point, is that hyperinflation is not necessary to greatly damage our country. All we would need is 6-10$/gal gas. Since WTO, NAFTA, and GAD, the US has lost much of its manufacturing infrastructure, and we import much of our natural resources, including oil and food. If oil is priced in SDR in the near future, the demand for, and value of the USD will fall, and the price for oil will increase. With a higher price of gas, US companies will still be manufacturing and importing, but many in the US will not be able to afford to purchase basic necessities.
US Government Bankrupt
According to Wiki, there are over 50 million Americans receiving some sort of Federal Assistance through Medicare, Social Security, Disability, or Unemployment. As the dollar is devalued, the higher prices will stretch the poor in America to the breaking point. There will be more unemployment, more bankruptcies, and more home foreclosures. However eventually, there just won't be enough money to support all the poor and support our global military goals at the same time. The US can continue to print USD, but the value of the USD in relation to other currencies will continue to drop. High oil prices is all it takes to cause high food and energy prices.
Weak USD => Famine
If the USD is replaced by the SDR, and no longer accepted by foreign countries in exchange for natural resources or finished goods, I cannot see how the USD will not become even more devalued. And with the weak, devalued dollar, I just don't see how millions of Americans don't begin to go hungry. And hungry people, especially if government subsidies are cut, will set the stage for what happens next.
Famine => Protests => Riots
As we have seen on TV in many countries already, hungry people will peacefully take to the streets in demonstration just like Egypt, Great Britain, Greece, and Iran. With a great many demonstrators on the streets or our large cities like Chicago, it wouldn't take much for a handful of anarchists/agent provocateurs to break a few windows and torch a few cars to turn a peaceful demonstration into a riot. With a riot, comes police, and possibly military engagement against the citizenry to quell the violence. However, there is a difference between Egypt vs the US, and that is that while Egyptians had plenty of rocks to through, Americans have guns. If there are street clashes, I hope and pray that civil unrest does not break out all over the country.
Riots => Martial Law => Gun Confiscation => Civil War
With riots going in throughout the country, these could easily spill over into suburban areas. The national guard and US military will be called in to put down these insurrections, and will likely go door-to-door confiscating guns. If the US Government tries to enforce a policy of widespread gun confiscation, there would be all out civil war. The Federal Government has been encroaching on our civil liberties such as freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, and from illegal searches and seizures for too long. While I am not so passionate on this one issue, I fear any further encroachment on the 2nd Amendment would be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
Soviet Union Staged its Own Death
Many American's hold the false belief that the Soviet Union fell in 1989. That would be a grave misconception. It is true that the Soviet Union was under great economic stress to keep up with the massive US military buildup during the Cold War as well as support millions of impoverished people in the Balkans and Kazakhstan. However, the Communists pulled off an ingenious ploy by faking their own death. So, all this time, what they really accomplished was cutting loose many impoverished countries which allowed them to concentrate even more money into the building of their Military Industrial Complex. However, the Russians still are very sensitive toward wealthier countries like the Ukraine and Georgia with pro-western governments. If Communist Russia really dies in 1989, then why is the US continuing to surround and provoke them, and why did Russia try to Assassinate the Prime Minister of Ukraine, decapitate the government of Poland, and invade Georgia in 2008.

I am sure, many will not forget the great drought and fires that burned all over Russia last summer. Weather you believe in weather modification/manipulation technology or not, is really not important. The issue at hand is, "do the Russian's believe that the US can modify the weather?" And, the feeling is that not only does Russia believe that the US directly caused the drought and fires in their country in 2010, they also believe the US has been secretly supporting Chechen Terrorism in the same way elements associated with the US are suspected of supporting Al Qaeda. The Russians also believe the the US was supporting mercenaries in Georgia, which led to conflict in 2008. Again, it doesn't matter what is true here, what matters is what the Russians believe is true. If the Russian government has bought into the conspiracy theory, then this suspicion will result in a response; true or false. The US is being framed.
Surprise Nuke Attack
If the IMF institutes the SDR this next year resulting in the further devaluation of the USD, we can expect demonstrations, riots, and martial law. If the imposition of martial law brings door-to-door gun confiscation, we will have civil war. If all this occurs in the next 2 years before the election, the time for Russia to attack, assuming President Obama looses the election, the window of opportunity to attack for the Russians will be before the inauguration of the newly elected president. The country will be divided, the the Russians and Chinese may feel like there is an opportunity to neutralize this constant annoyance of the US once and for all.
In their mind, the Globalists have convinced them that they could rid themselves of all nuclear weapons once and for all by everyone launching them at the US while we are divided and are not likely to have the capacity, ability, or will to counter attack. The Chinese have already demonstrated an EMP device, totally paralyzing a Cruise ship (Carnival Splendor) in the middle of the ocean. Later last year, we saw another missile launched by a Chinese submarine right off the coast of Los Angeles. The first action by China was before G20 in Korea in response to the US printing 1 Trillion USD to devalue its currency (QE2) and monetize its debt. The second action off Los Angeles was in response to Pres. Obama's visit to India.

Then he stopped for a moment as though he was going inside himself, and then said that there would be other survivors, but they would only survive because they were the honest in heart whom the Lord would miraculously bring to the Saints to teach and nurture, and that their survival would be something truly spiritual to those of us who were prepared for the calamities that would befall the LDS people who were not prepared, and the unprepared LDS would be affected the worst and die the more agonizing deaths because they had been warned, and yet rejected those warnings.

2. Russia would appear to fall from it’s mighty position, but that would only be a ruse, because they would continue to only grow stronger because they would not have to support all of the poor countries they had taken over.
3. The US would give up it’s strategic power base, and become the scourge of the world because of the abuse of power they would leverage against all other lesser countries, and the other world powers would force the US to take their bombs out of Europe. (Doesn’t remember anything being said about whether bombs were nuclear or not)
4. Missiles would be hidden in grain silos – didn’t way anything about them being the buried silos we all know.
5. Nations would move huge battle tanks around to where they needed them on trucks that are bigger than any you have ever seen up till now (1949)
6. Then a terrible war would break out that would pit the powerful nations of the world against the US, and that the US would find out what it was like to have war waged in their backyards, and America would find out that WW2 had merely been a training exercise.
7. The worst time in the depression would look like a picnic in comparison.

Daniel's 70 Weeks, 120 Jubilees, End Times, Last Days and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ
Several factors having me leaning toward the conclusion that the Second Coming may be closer than many may realize:
1. Daniel's 70 Weeks (years) is said to have begun with the creation of the Jewish State of Israel in 1947-48. Actually, Daniel says the 70 Weeks starts with the command. Therefore, some think Daniel's 70 weeks begins in 1947 with the UN Charter. Others think it begins in 1948 with the creation of Israel. And others believe the time line begins with "Law of Return" in 1950 that called all Jews from all over the planet to gather in Israel. [1950 + 70 = 2020]
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish thetransgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
2. We are told that this generation (the generation alive when Israel becomes a nation) would not pass away until all is fulfilled. The generation spoken of is the Baby Boomer generation. Christ said that when we see the Fig Tree put for leaves, we can know that summer is close. Israel is the "Fig Tree Nation." Therefore, Christ tells us that when we see the nation of Israel re-established, we know the Second Coming is very close. [Israel = Fig Tree]
Matt 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
3. Also the realization that 1 day = 1000 years, and Adam lived about 4000 BC, so that we now in or very close to the 7th Millennium of Rest (2 Pet 3:8). Thanks to Joseph Smith, we know that each of the 7 Seals = 7 x 1000 years (D&C 77:7). And after the opening of the 7th Seal, there is silence in the heavens for 1/2 hour, then the trumpet announcing the coming of the Lord sounds (Rev 8:1). Not to be confused with the 7 trumpets that sound on earth. [1/2 hour = 20.8 years]
4. Finally, in addition to the 7 1000-day periods of time, the Bible also teaches us about Jubilees. A Jubilee occurs every 50 years. The Jubilee year is where all debts are to be forgiven, and slaves are prisoners are freed, and all people return to the lands of their inheritance. When the Jews observed the Jubilee, great blessings were experienced. But usually, the Jews did not observe the Jubilee and they were cursed. The Bible hints that there would be 120 Jubilees given to man until the coming of Christ. From Adam to the Exodus was exactly 50 Jubilees. Thus the Exodus occurred at a Jubilee of Jubilees.
Gen 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. [120 Jubilees]
Adam ---Abraham---Jesus---Second Coming
40 Jubilees + 40 Jubilees + 40 Jubilees = 120 Jubilees

5. The Key to knowing where you are on Gods calendar is to identify just 1 Jubilee year. If you can positively identify just 1 Jubilee year, then you can know them all. Many try to confuse saying a Jubilee year was only 49 years. But I am convinced that it is exactly 50 years, and the reason why Israel never observed them routinely is because they didn't have the faith to let their land sit without being planted for 2 consecutive years. (Sabbatical Year (49)+ Jubilee Year 50)). You don't need to figure out the Jewish calender to figure this out. All you have to do is figure out Gods calender. Jewish calender /= God's calender because they never kept the Jubilee.

So, I have been seeing that they are putting out counterfeit Jubilee dates and they are predicting Christ's return in 2017 which is 3 years earlier than 2020. Will foresight, like hindsight, be 2020?

Possible End-Times Time Line
There are several LDS End-Times prophecies out there. The Milton Musser letter recounts a prophecy by Joseph Smith foretelling a Second American Civil War and several letters by David H. Horne recount Pres. George A. Smith's' vision of a Russian Nuclear attack on the US. The fascinating aspects to these prophecies is that unlike others, these examples contain details that help in figuring out timing of these events.
Both the Musser and Horne letters talk about the devaluation of the US Dollar and martial law (gun confiscation) as key signs that will occur just before these events. We can already see the devaluation starting to occur. The FED is using quantitative easing to print money to finance our budget deficits that China is no longer supporting. China has broken away from the British Created Petro-Dollar system and had brokered deals with Russia and Brazil to exchange currency. China has also brokered deals with Iran to import oil in Yuan. These prophecies warn that it is only a matter of time before the world no longer accept the US Dollar in payment for manufactured goods, commodities, and natural resources.
It is not a stretch to imagine that further devaluation of the Dollar will lead to its collapse. Economic Collapse and Depression will lead to Starvation. Starvation will lead to demonstrations. Anarchist/Agent Provocateurs will turn demonstrations into Riots. FEMA, US Military, Nation Guard and Federalized Police will fire into the crowds killing thousands (Chicago). Riots then break out all over the country in all major cities. Martial Law is imposed and guns are confiscated. The Second US Civil War breaks out over 2nd Amendment Rights.
Thus far, since the Housing Collapse, the Globalists have strung us along through the TARP bailout as well as a policy of printing money which they call Quantitative Easing. Currently, Multinational Corporations have brokered a deal with the US Government that they will move 1 Trillion dollars of offshore profits into the US in exchange for only having to pay 5% tax. These companies are then using this money to purchase their own stock, while the CEO's are cashing out their stock options. After this money dries up and the ultra-elite have cashed out, I am not sure what the Globalists will use to continue to prop up the Dollar and float our record deficits.
However, the biggest clue with regard to the timing of the Russian Nuclear Attack on the US and occupation, is that according to the vision of George A. Smith, this attack will occur during the presidency of a US President who is not of Northern European Extraction. According to Bro. Horne, George A. Smith was very clear that this attack would occur after the election of a new POTUS but before the inauguration of the new POTUS. Thus the "Greek" POTUS is still the president at the time of the attack. Pres. Smith also said that this attack would involve ground troops. Now, invading foreign troops on American soil could only occur if the US did away with the 2nd Amendment and confiscated guns. A well armed citizenry is documented as the major reason Japan did not attack and invade California after Pearl Harbor. So, we see that gun confiscation and a Second American Civil War will likely precede a Russian attack.
Another detail of timing has to do with the Globalist Conspirators attempting to stage the Daniel's "Abomination of Desolation". The Globalist have convinced many that the Daniel's "Abomination of Desolation" will have something to do with the Jewish Temple in and around 2013. They use the idea of Jubilee Years, the 6-Day War, and Daniel's 70 weeks beginning with the UN Charter establishing Israel as a State in 1947, as a basis for this. However, I believe these events are manufactured to deceive, and when the real "Abomination of Desolation" occurs in 2016, they will mock Christians for believing that Christ would save them from destruction. However, iust like 70 AD, the real "Abomination of Desolation" has more to do with global genocide and less to do with some Antichrist leader killing a pig on the temple alter.
But, if this time line is correct, then the Russian Attack will not occur immediately after the 2012 election, but following the 2016 election. I think too much has yet to occur. That means that Pres. Obama will need to win the election in 2012. And seeing his popularity numbers right now, I don't anyone thinks that is possible. However, the Globalists have given us clues about what they are going to do. George Soros and other Ultra-Elites have been hinting that what Pres. Obama needs to win in 2012 is another "Oklahoma City Bombing". However, with the advent of electronic voting, it is likely that fraud will be employed to steal the 2012 election. But, the media will use the cover story that it was the excellent FEMA response to some domestic emergency that gave Pres. Obama the "bump" he needed to win.
Many are suspicious that FEMA has been preparing since Katrina for just such an "Oklahoma City-like" event. FEMA has purchased millions of body bags and hundreds of thousands of grave liners. FEMA has built an archipelago of emergency residential centers, and has completed work on a mass immunization center and morgue in Downtown Salt Lake City. FEMA has also completed work of mass cemeteries in Southern California, Phoenix and Houston. Just recently, FEMA has contacted several MRE manufacturing companies and inquired if these companies had the capacity to deliver several million meals if needed. In addition to bankrupting our nation, I can't imagine that all these FEMA expenditures are being made to go to waste. Consequently, I am looking forward to some catastrophic event to occur in America in the Spring or Summer of 2012 prior to the November Elections.
If you are LDS or live in Salt Lake City, then you know the Wasatch Fault is long overdue to slip. With the help of HAARP, an Earthquake on the Wasatch Fault could produce in excess of an magnitude 8 earthquake. Because Salt Lake is built on a dry lake bed, just like Mexico City, the earthquake energy will be magnified and together with liquefaction, produce widespread devastation. LDS will remember the Doctrine and Covenants dire warning that the Tribulation would begin "upon my house."
D&C 112:25 And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord;
The other possibility is Obama doesn't run or loses the 2012 election. In that case a whole lot of stuff needs to happen in 2011-12 if Russia is to strike in the end of 2012. In this scenario, I am assuming that the nuke attack on the US is the Abomination of Desolation, and we know that this atrocity occurs in the midst of the final 7 years of Daniel's prophetic timeline, then in this case, Christ's coming could be as soon as 2017. But there are several reasons above why I think this is too soon. That is unless, something else worse than nuclear holocaust happens in 2016-17.
I will assume that because Joseph Smith taught (and this is in the Teaching of the Presidents of the Church Manual) that the LDS Saints would not necessarily be protected from the tribulation. I will also assume that AOA, New Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, and 144,000 will occur after Russia nukes America. Pres. George A. Smith also comments in his vision that the Saints would "Die like flies." So, again this suggests that those who are not prepared will suffer during the Tribulation and that the calling to AOA will occur sometime in the midst of the tribulation but before the Wrath.
Russia will only hit key cities and military targets in a majority of the US, but they will carpet bomb Missouri and other states where there are nuclear silos. It takes a direct hit on a silo to take it out and prevent a retaliatory strike. After, Silos in Missouri have been carpet bombed, (yellow-dog prophecy), then the land will be available for New Jerusalem to be built.
Once New Jerusalem Construction commences, 144,000 High Priests will be sent forth as missionaries to gather all survivors of the tribulation who will come to come to New Jerusalem for safety from the coming wrath. At the same time Russia strikes the US, I suppose there will be war in Jerusalem. And at the same time missionaries are gathering survivors to Zion, following Armageddon and the conversion of the Jews, they will send out missionaries to those nations to gather survivors of the Tribulation to Jerusalem.
That said, my wife votes for the Obama loses the 2012 election and doesn't see Obama winning a second term, bump or no bump. And with all this 2012 stuff, she thinks that the collapse of dollar, Chicago riots, gun confiscation, etc will happen in the next 2 years. I guess we will see. I hope we have some more time to prepare. I am still leaning toward the 2020 Time line because I believe it will be said "The Lord Delayeth His Coming" Matt 24:48. But at the same time, the Lord also says that "those days will be shortened." Matt 24:22. The days can be shortened in two ways:
1. We finish the work to build Zion and bring in survivors quickly such that Christ can come.
2. The date of the financial collapse (crunch) that leads to civil war and then WW3 and Armageddon is delayed allowing us as much time as possible to get prepared before the FHTF.

Both the Musser and Horne letters talk about the devaluation of the US Dollar and martial law (gun confiscation) as key signs that will occur just before these events. We can already see the devaluation starting to occur. The FED is using quantitative easing to print money to finance our budget deficits that China is no longer supporting. China has broken away from the British Created Petro-Dollar system and had brokered deals with Russia and Brazil to exchange currency. China has also brokered deals with Iran to import oil in Yuan. These prophecies warn that it is only a matter of time before the world no longer accept the US Dollar in payment for manufactured goods, commodities, and natural resources.
It is not a stretch to imagine that further devaluation of the Dollar will lead to its collapse. Economic Collapse and Depression will lead to Starvation. Starvation will lead to demonstrations. Anarchist/Agent Provocateurs will turn demonstrations into Riots. FEMA, US Military, Nation Guard and Federalized Police will fire into the crowds killing thousands (Chicago). Riots then break out all over the country in all major cities. Martial Law is imposed and guns are confiscated. The Second US Civil War breaks out over 2nd Amendment Rights.
Thus far, since the Housing Collapse, the Globalists have strung us along through the TARP bailout as well as a policy of printing money which they call Quantitative Easing. Currently, Multinational Corporations have brokered a deal with the US Government that they will move 1 Trillion dollars of offshore profits into the US in exchange for only having to pay 5% tax. These companies are then using this money to purchase their own stock, while the CEO's are cashing out their stock options. After this money dries up and the ultra-elite have cashed out, I am not sure what the Globalists will use to continue to prop up the Dollar and float our record deficits.
However, the biggest clue with regard to the timing of the Russian Nuclear Attack on the US and occupation, is that according to the vision of George A. Smith, this attack will occur during the presidency of a US President who is not of Northern European Extraction. According to Bro. Horne, George A. Smith was very clear that this attack would occur after the election of a new POTUS but before the inauguration of the new POTUS. Thus the "Greek" POTUS is still the president at the time of the attack. Pres. Smith also said that this attack would involve ground troops. Now, invading foreign troops on American soil could only occur if the US did away with the 2nd Amendment and confiscated guns. A well armed citizenry is documented as the major reason Japan did not attack and invade California after Pearl Harbor. So, we see that gun confiscation and a Second American Civil War will likely precede a Russian attack.
Another detail of timing has to do with the Globalist Conspirators attempting to stage the Daniel's "Abomination of Desolation". The Globalist have convinced many that the Daniel's "Abomination of Desolation" will have something to do with the Jewish Temple in and around 2013. They use the idea of Jubilee Years, the 6-Day War, and Daniel's 70 weeks beginning with the UN Charter establishing Israel as a State in 1947, as a basis for this. However, I believe these events are manufactured to deceive, and when the real "Abomination of Desolation" occurs in 2016, they will mock Christians for believing that Christ would save them from destruction. However, iust like 70 AD, the real "Abomination of Desolation" has more to do with global genocide and less to do with some Antichrist leader killing a pig on the temple alter.
But, if this time line is correct, then the Russian Attack will not occur immediately after the 2012 election, but following the 2016 election. I think too much has yet to occur. That means that Pres. Obama will need to win the election in 2012. And seeing his popularity numbers right now, I don't anyone thinks that is possible. However, the Globalists have given us clues about what they are going to do. George Soros and other Ultra-Elites have been hinting that what Pres. Obama needs to win in 2012 is another "Oklahoma City Bombing". However, with the advent of electronic voting, it is likely that fraud will be employed to steal the 2012 election. But, the media will use the cover story that it was the excellent FEMA response to some domestic emergency that gave Pres. Obama the "bump" he needed to win.
Many are suspicious that FEMA has been preparing since Katrina for just such an "Oklahoma City-like" event. FEMA has purchased millions of body bags and hundreds of thousands of grave liners. FEMA has built an archipelago of emergency residential centers, and has completed work on a mass immunization center and morgue in Downtown Salt Lake City. FEMA has also completed work of mass cemeteries in Southern California, Phoenix and Houston. Just recently, FEMA has contacted several MRE manufacturing companies and inquired if these companies had the capacity to deliver several million meals if needed. In addition to bankrupting our nation, I can't imagine that all these FEMA expenditures are being made to go to waste. Consequently, I am looking forward to some catastrophic event to occur in America in the Spring or Summer of 2012 prior to the November Elections.
If you are LDS or live in Salt Lake City, then you know the Wasatch Fault is long overdue to slip. With the help of HAARP, an Earthquake on the Wasatch Fault could produce in excess of an magnitude 8 earthquake. Because Salt Lake is built on a dry lake bed, just like Mexico City, the earthquake energy will be magnified and together with liquefaction, produce widespread devastation. LDS will remember the Doctrine and Covenants dire warning that the Tribulation would begin "upon my house."

The other possibility is Obama doesn't run or loses the 2012 election. In that case a whole lot of stuff needs to happen in 2011-12 if Russia is to strike in the end of 2012. In this scenario, I am assuming that the nuke attack on the US is the Abomination of Desolation, and we know that this atrocity occurs in the midst of the final 7 years of Daniel's prophetic timeline, then in this case, Christ's coming could be as soon as 2017. But there are several reasons above why I think this is too soon. That is unless, something else worse than nuclear holocaust happens in 2016-17.
I will assume that because Joseph Smith taught (and this is in the Teaching of the Presidents of the Church Manual) that the LDS Saints would not necessarily be protected from the tribulation. I will also assume that AOA, New Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, and 144,000 will occur after Russia nukes America. Pres. George A. Smith also comments in his vision that the Saints would "Die like flies." So, again this suggests that those who are not prepared will suffer during the Tribulation and that the calling to AOA will occur sometime in the midst of the tribulation but before the Wrath.
Russia will only hit key cities and military targets in a majority of the US, but they will carpet bomb Missouri and other states where there are nuclear silos. It takes a direct hit on a silo to take it out and prevent a retaliatory strike. After, Silos in Missouri have been carpet bombed, (yellow-dog prophecy), then the land will be available for New Jerusalem to be built.
Once New Jerusalem Construction commences, 144,000 High Priests will be sent forth as missionaries to gather all survivors of the tribulation who will come to come to New Jerusalem for safety from the coming wrath. At the same time Russia strikes the US, I suppose there will be war in Jerusalem. And at the same time missionaries are gathering survivors to Zion, following Armageddon and the conversion of the Jews, they will send out missionaries to those nations to gather survivors of the Tribulation to Jerusalem.
That said, my wife votes for the Obama loses the 2012 election and doesn't see Obama winning a second term, bump or no bump. And with all this 2012 stuff, she thinks that the collapse of dollar, Chicago riots, gun confiscation, etc will happen in the next 2 years. I guess we will see. I hope we have some more time to prepare. I am still leaning toward the 2020 Time line because I believe it will be said "The Lord Delayeth His Coming" Matt 24:48. But at the same time, the Lord also says that "those days will be shortened." Matt 24:22. The days can be shortened in two ways:
1. We finish the work to build Zion and bring in survivors quickly such that Christ can come.
2. The date of the financial collapse (crunch) that leads to civil war and then WW3 and Armageddon is delayed allowing us as much time as possible to get prepared before the FHTF.

CLARIFICATION: Im not really interested in the timing of the Second Coming itself; only the beginning of the Tribulation period. After Zion is established, it will be kind of "home free", "all down hill from here", "on to the victory". The Second Coming in Glory itself may come soon or many many years after these events.

I have heard that the only thing that is supporting the Stock Market right now, is that International Cooperations have $1 Trillion in overseas/offshore profits and have brokered a deal with the US government to bring this money back into the US to help the economy in exchange for only 5% tax rate. But instead of helping the economy, what these mega-corps are doing is buying their own stock at the same time the CEO's are cashing out of their stock options. With the TARP money money is all spent, and when this offshore money is gone, I don't see that there is any other scheme to keep the illusion of stability going. The Petro-Dollar system is dead with China buying oil in Yuan and brokering currency exchange deals with Russia and Brazil.

Would an LDS President Make a Difference?
From Orin Hatch and Mitt Romney to Jon Huntsman Jr in 2012; LDS seek to fully participate in national politics. However, one wonders, if an LDS member were to be elected as POTUS; would anything really change? Looking down the list of high-level LDS politicians, many have been great and inspired servants of God, but less effective politically in changing things for the better.
Elder Reed Smoot (US Senate): Co-Sponsored the National Parks Act which turned over hundreds of thousands of miles of land and control over mineral rights to the Federal Government. The Federal Government with control of those mineral rights is able to deal them out to certain companies or to prohibit companies from mining these resources all together to limit our ability of our country from being self-sufficient. The National Park Act was a major step in the Federalization of America. (This reminds me of the plot of Evan Almighty).
Co-Sponsored the Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act. Now this was a good act. But, Senator Smoot allowed FDR and others blame this act for triggering the Great Depression, resulting in a huge shift in Republican politics. Since this time, "FREE TRADE" became a major plank of the Republican Party when it never had been before. Republicans like Lincoln, McKinley, and Hoover where all staunch Protectionists.
President J Ruben Clark (Under Secretary of State): Developed regulations for the Selective Service/Draft during WW1 and amended the Monroe Doctrine to limit US involvement in Latin American politics. However, the US has covertly been responsible for numerous political assassinations, coups, revolutions, and regime changes in Latin and South America.
After working for the State Department, President Clark worked for a New York law firm involved in mergers and acquisitions to buy up any companies that would profit from the US entering into WW1. J Ruben Clark worked to create the first international conglomerate for the ultra elite who were fully intending to drive the US to war all the while Woodrow Wilson was promising the US people otherwise.
President Ezra Taft Benson (Secretary of Agriculture): Criticized Farm subsidies and the spread of Communism and Socialism but never realized like General Patton that President Eisenhower was personally and directly responsible for allowing Communist Russia to take Eastern Europe. I am not sure if he ever realized the real threat to our Constitution were the Globalist power-elites like Eisenhower (member of Bohemian Grove) who sponsored the Communist Revolution and created the Soviet Union. In any event, Secretary Benson's 8 years as Agriculture Secretary did little to slow the spread of Socialism in America or slow the spread of Communism abroad. But he did bravely lift up a warning voice in the face of fierce criticism.
David M Kennedy (Secretary of Treasury): Appointed by President Richard M Nixon right up to the time when Nixon took the dollar forever off the gold standard. But he was replaced just before this happened. He then served as US Ambassador to NATO.
Michael O Leavitt (Secretary of Health and Human Services): Spent several years flying all over the country on a government jet campaigning for Obama Care and the idea that Doctor reimbursement should be determined by an arbitrary Quality Factor, which gives Federal Bureaucrats total control over medicine. You do it their way exactly, or you don't get paid. I attended his presentation here where I live.
Harry Reid (US Senate Majority Leader): Overseen the greatest expansion of the federal government since FDRs New Deal and LBJs Great Society.
George W. Romney (Secretary of HUD): Worked as CEO of AMC, then served as Michigan Governor after which he served as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Pres Nixon. Bro. Romney wanted to expand low-income housing projects into suburban areas but was opposed by Nixon. Romney was unsuccessful in seeing the creation of ghettos in US inner-cities and did not recognize the HUD/HFA amortized mortgage as a major driver of inflation in this country.
I am sure the only thing the Globalist would like more that to have the US collapse under a Black President would be to have the US collaspe under an LDS President. I don't see how an LDS member in politics could effectively defend the Constitution unless they were awake to the reality of the Great Global Conspiracy. It is too easy for the elites to get naive Mormons to follow along because of our ambition, trusting nature, desire to please, tendency to blindly follow orders, befriend mammon, and desire for the mainstream to respect us, etc.
I should put a disclaimer here that I am not saying LDS shouldn't be involved in politics and I am not saying that anyone could have done better. I appreciate LDS willingness and sacrifice to serve this country. What I am saying, is that having an LDS member at the top is not going to change the scriptures any more than Mormon's final stand at Cumorrah changed what Nephi had seen in vision a thousand years earlier. That being said, it was still important to make that final stand.
President N. Eldon Tanner (Canadian Minister of Lands and Mines): There is one LDS politician who I feel did a great job of fighting the New World Order. President Tanner was in a banker, oilman, and politician in Alberta Canada. President Tanner served as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 1936 to 1937 and as a cabinet minister as the Minister of Lands and Mines in the governments of William Aberhart and Ernest Manning from 1937 to 1952. President Tanner was able to take back mineral rights from Canada for Alberta and used those mineral and oil rights to benefit the citizens of Alberta.
Of all LDS politicians, I think President Tanner was the most effective against the agenda of the latter-day Gadiantons.

Another promising paradigm for cancer treatment would be to focus on the manipulation of metabolic pathways of cancer cells. Scientists are discovering that cancer cell metabolic pathways may be unique or at least more limited than normal cells. And it is these metabolic limitations that could be exploited. First off, we know that all cells in the body can generate energy using several anaerobic and aerobic mechanisms. These metabolic pathways include: anaerobic glycolysis, aerobic respiration (TCA cycle), oxidative phosphorylation, lipolysis (ketogenic), and gluconeogenesis,
One of the first identified biochemical hallmarks of tumor cells was a shift in glucose metabolism from aerobic oxidative phosphorylation to anaerobic glycolysis (the "Warburg effect" or "Warburg hypothesis"). Now, scientists have revealed that cancer cellular functions and growth are primarily dependent upon the anaerobic metabolism of glucose, fructose and lipid (lypolysis). Aerobic respiration via the TCA-cycle and Oxidative phosphorylation is very complex and requires intact mitochondria. Because of that complexity, mutated cancer cells can rarely depend on aerobic metabolism for energy. Instead, they rely primarily on the much simpler anaerobic glycolysis; using glucose and fructose as fuel. Otto Warburg, 1931 Nobel Laureate, was first to measure and explain the mechanisms behind the large amounts of lactic acid produced by cancer cells.
However, when glucose levels are low, cancer cells are in a pinch. They can't do aerobic respiration, so lacking glucose, they instead turn to ketogenic lipolysis for energy. But cancer cells have the complex machinery needed to transport lipids into the cell. Instead, in a low glucose environment, they use their damaged oxidative phosphorylation pathway and other pathways to generate high levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS). These ROS are then secreted into the cells microenvironment where they damage nearby cells. In this way, cancer cells begin to parasitize nearby cells and literally eat their host alive.
New studies suggest that cancer cells may not generate ROS themselves, but instead, reprogram neighboring stromal fibroblast cells to generate high amounts of ROS for them. The ROS then damage neighboring cells resulting in lipid peroxidation, and the production of lactate, and ketones which the cancer cells can use for energy. Through this mechanism, tumors do not need much of a blood supply. Understanding how cancer cells metabolize energy, we can now develop new strategies to kill them.
Together, the medicines, herbs, and vitamins listed above should do two things. First, a low-fructose diet together with Metformin and DCA will serve to inhibit both gluconeogenesis and anerobic glycolysis and force cancer cells into lipolysis. While we want the force the cancer into a ketogenic state, a ketogenic diet and dehydration are discouraged because scientists believe that cancer cells may thrive on lactic acid and ketones. That said, this first strategy should force the cancer cells to depend primarily on lipolysis for energy.
Next, iron chelation is added to inhibit ROS formation. Antioxidants like Vitamin C, E, Co-enzyme Q10, and Cumin are added to prevent remaining ROS oxidative damage to surrounding tissues. Also, anti-inflammatory and immune modulating agents such as aspirin, cimetidine could be added to reduce inflammation and boost cellular and humeral immunity. All together, cancer cells should not be left with any alternative energy alternatives. Then, at that point, cancer cells would turn cannibalistic and should undergo autophagy.
The hope is that a paradigm focused on metabolic manipulation, will be not only more effective at curing cancer, but will avoid the terrible side effects of traditional cytotoxic chemotherapy. However, until this new paradigm is proven, it will most likely be necessary to test this new paradigm in between rounds of traditional cytotoxic chemotherapy.
