Before the election Pres. Obama was overhead with Russian President Medvedev saying that on missile defense, he would have more "flexibility" on that issue after his election.
Gov. Romney brought the point of Obama's posturing to cave on missile defense up in the debates but the media ignored it like they are ignoring Obama's promise that the Sequester wouldn't happen.
Last week before Pres. Obama's visit to Israel, it was announced that the US is capitulating to Russia and is withdrawing missile defense from Europe.
Interesting that LDS Church President George Albert Smith was shown a vision of WW3 recorded by my childhood neighbor Bro. David Horne. A major detail in the vision leading up to nuclear war by Russia and China on the US is that the US would withdraw our missiles from Europe.
Also, as we debate whether North Korea has missile technology to reach the US, the Sequester has caused significant reductions in port security. As I see it, why does North Korea need missiles when they could just FedEx us a surprise?
In 2008, Presidential Candidate Obama said: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
As I see it, I think the US is very vulnerable to another 9/11-like attack. If such an terrorist or false-flag event were to occur, we would likely see the "civilian national security force" that Pres. was promising, and we would likely see was against Syria, Iran, and North Korea. I am sure the US would make a strong case that rogue nations who support terrorism can no longer be tolerated. Then after the US avenges itself upon these nations, Russia and China will strike as they have threatened nations that violate sovereignty of other nations.

Earned income credit
This morning on NPR, I was listening to a report about the earned income credit. According to NPR the earned income credit is wonderful and a success. We were told that the earned income credit has done exactly what it was designed to do we are told that presidents from Reagan to Bill Clinton and Obama supported the earned income credit. And we are told the program has expanded every year since Its inception.
Credit earned income credit was designed to give single mothers to pay single mothers go to work cannot stay home and take care of the children. I Wonder what the differences in cost between 3000 $6000 plus the cost cost of childcare at Headstart program.
I wonder what the social costs are in such a program. Studies have shown building orphanages results in more orphans. And creating welfare programs creates more welfare recipients. And having more single mothers working means less mothers mothering and their children.

Legislating Morality
Some people believe "we shouldn't give the government the ability to use the force of law to compel morality". In my opinion, we are soooooooooooo hopelessly lost if people believe this.
Morality is the only thing that government legislates and enforces. If government didn't legislate and enforce morality, what else would it legislate and enforce? Mythology?
Definitions:
Government = force
Morality = Principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior.
Basis of American Morality (applies to theists and atheists alike):
1. All men are created equal (i.e. one person is not more important than another).
2. Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you (i.e. do no harm).
American Government really doesnt need a lot of rules. If harm is done by one individual to another, than an impartial jury can determine if the allegation is harmful, and if there is evidence that harm has been committed by the perpetrator upon the victim. And then the jury can determine a just punishment and/or compensation.
No law need be written. The concept of "Rule of Law" has become a monster.
Accordingly: If we believe in a " Do no harm" (to others) society and that "all people are equal".
Recreational Drugs:
1. Using recreational drugs is self-abuse
2. Possessing and using recreational drugs is not harming others
3. Selling and distributing recreational drugs is harming others
4. Citizen Juries should prosecute distribution.
Same-gender marriage:
1. Children born into a family without both a mother or father harms the child.
2. Children are a protected group and must be looked out for even if their is no perceived harm.
3. Same-gender relationships between consenting adults carries no perceived harm by either party.
4. Consenting adults are not a protected group.
5. Marriage differs from civil union in the licensing to create biological offspring and raise them.
6. Children who are not raised effectively can become a liability and harm the community.
7. There may be no need for Government licensing for marriage or civil union but Citizen Juries should protect children and make sure they have proper homes.
In this sense, I guess I've reversed my opinion about that "Government shouldn't get involved in martiage or civil union." But only in the sense that the government shouldn't get involved in the licencing of anything and only provide a means of the community to prosecute perpetrators of harm.

About patrols and naming ect.
Part of the genius of humans is the size of our brain vs. our size. However, human babies are far from developed at birth. So, continued nurturing is required of children until their brains have reached maturity with regard to size, neuronal connections and myelination. The Boy Scouts of America program is expertly designed to assist in the maturation and social development of boys and young men.
The importance of forming patrols with unique identifiers like names, cheers, slogans, banners, etc. goes back to Early Childhood developments theory and Eriksen's stages of psychosocial development:
Trust vs Mistrust
Autonomy vs Shame
Industry vs Inferiority
Identity vs Role Confusion
Intimacy vs Isolation
Generativity vs Stagnation
Ego Integrity vs Dispair
Scout-age Kids have a need to belong. Belonging gives them an important sense of identity before they have started their own family and choosen a carreer. Junior High is also a very critical after grade-school when they are thrust out of a home room at school and given 7-8 different classes throughout the day. You can see why its easy for children to sacrifice moral values to find social acceptance. They are just looking to belong and find a sense of identity.
Belonging to a Scout troop can partially satisfy this need to belong for a child. To create a sense of place, and social context, scout groups can come up with names, cheers, yells, traditions, etc.
When it comes to creating identity, the weirder, the better. Feeling unique and distictive while at the same time feeling like you belong is particularly powerful . This is why social groups like punks, goths, skaters, etc can be very inticing to children.
When, I was a Y-group freshman orientation leader at BYU, I would have my group come up with a cheer, and name and also select a unique item that the group could wear to uniquely identify them from the other groups. The item I selected was a whole lime, that the group members then strung, decorated with green tinsel and puffy paint, and wore around their necks as a necklace.
The results of this extra effort, were kids who enthusiastically participated in the orrientation activities, took a prize for being one of the top Y-groups, and just a lot of fun and great memories. I know for a fact that some of the group members dried and kept their limes all year. I wouldn't be surprised if a dried lime was elevated to the honor and status of a rear-view mirror dongle or even a Christmas tree ornament.
Boy Scouts is all about helping boys develop Trust through cooperative play, autonomy, industry, identity, and intimacy, generativity, and ego integrity. My friend Trent F says that many confuse sexuality with intimacy but intimacy in a fraternal sense is also an important developmental need. Boys who share the same experiences and overcome challenges together can relate better to one another and form rewarding bonds of friendship.
Generativity is about being productive, producing results, achieving goals. And Ego integrity is the power to instill with each boy a sense of indelible self-worth and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Boys who recognize their own self worth also recognize the worth of others.

Mail-a-Nuke
North Korea is threatening this week to attack the US with nuclear weapons. The media is debating whether North Korea has the missile technology capable of reaching the US. However, with Pres. Obama's recent port furloughs, what does North Korea need with a rocket? If anyone wants to attack America they could probably simply just "mail-a-nuke."
The US Has Lost the Revolutionary and Civil Wars
Shocking statement? If I asked you what the purpose of the Revolutionary War was; how would you respond? Would you answer that the war had something to do with tea and stamps and "taxation without representation"? Text Books no longer teach the true purpose of the Revolutionary War.
The true purpose of the Revolutionary War was to "Control our own Currency and Credit". Over the years we have forgotten the true purpose of the war and beginning in 1913, have allowed a foreign/private entity, The Federal Reserve, to control our currency and credit. Therefore, not only have US citizens forgotten the reason why our forefathers gave their lives, we have also conceded defeat.
The same goes for the Civil War. If I asked most people the purpose of the Civil War, they would likely answer: "slavery" or "States Rights". In reality, the biggest issue of the Civil War was Protectionism vs Free/slave- trade.
The South hadn't industrialized because they had slave labor. But eventually machines and technolgy beat manpower and the South was forced to industrialize. However, the South resented high tarriffs and having to pay higher prices to the north. The South wanted slave-produced " Walmart" goods shipped in from India. The North is not innocent in this reguard and us guilty of price gouging and provoking the South.
So-called Free-trade which is really slave-trade became an issue again when the FED and FDR blamed the Apostle/Senator Reed Smoot Tariff Act for worsening and causing the Great Depression. Milton Friedman and Ben Bernanke both agree that the FED worsened the Depression and not tariffs. However, the fact that most US citizens have forgotten the true purpose of the Civil War and that we currently are under free/slave-trade agreements with China show that the US has conceded defeat in the Civil War as well.
The US doesn't need Chinese products. The US should have used technology and automation to produce our goods and saved our domestic manufacturing. But even if we had to pay higher prices, those higher prices would have been paying for our neighbors health insurance. However, instead of being self-reliant, the US is sending our jobs and dollars over to China, having our neighbor depend on the Federal Government for health insurance and having to borrow money from China to pay for that insurance.
"The refusal of King George to operate an HONEST colonial MONEY SYSTEM which freed the ordinary man from the clutches of the manipulators was probably the prime cause of the Revolution."
"The Colonies would gladly have borne the little tax on tea and other matters, had it not been that England took away from the Colonies their money, which created unemployment and dis-satisfaction."
Here we see the cause of poverty, unemployment and financial insecurity. There can be no personal liberty without financial freedom.
Thomas Jefferson and many others knew this. Jefferson prophesized what would happen to America if we ever lost the inalienable right to issue our own money.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." --Ben Franklin

Blood Moon Tetrads
The internet is calling our attention to a series of lunar and solar eclipses that are expected to occur on subsequent Jewish holidays in 2014-15. This is supposedly an exceedingly rare coincidence and a possible "sign in the heavens".
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come. (Old Testament, Joel, Chapter 2)
The groups that are calling attention to these "Blood Moon Tetrads" are claiming they could mark the Second Coming of Christ in 2016 with the assumption that Daniel's prophetic 70 "Shabuas" begins in 1947 with the creation of the State of Israel (Dan 9:2). Shabua is a useful prophetic word that can mean week, or year depending on the context.
However, I do not believe this interpretation for several reasons:
1. The Bood Moon Tetrads do not mark the Second Coming of Christ but instead the Abomination of Desolation. The "Great and Terrible Day" Joel is talking about is the day of burning and invasion of heathen armies associated with the Abomination of Desolation (Trumpet 5 in Revelation).
2. Many calling attention to the Tetrads are claiming they mark the Second Coming. However, we know from the Book of Mormon that in the Last Days we can expect people to claim "the time is past".
3. I believe Daniel's 70 "Shabuas" do not start in 1947, but in 1950 with the "Law of Return". This is the command to build up Jerusalem that Daniel refers to in Dan 9:25.
4. Just like in the Meridian of Time, Satan sought to "change the times". This changing of the times resulted in the rise of many false Messiah's before and after Jesus Christ despite the seemingly clear prophecies leading up to Christ's birth.
5. No man knoweth the day nor the hour of Christ's return. However, that doesn't mean scripture doesn't tell us when the Tribulation events are to occur. And once we are safe in Zion, does it really matter at that point?
This means that the 7-year Tribulation may begin (Abinidi's Fire) this year in 2013 which is 63 years after the "Law of Return" (Dan 9:26). With all the FEMA preparations and the Globalist desire to get the US in a war with Syria, Iran, and North Korea all at the same time; we could be looking for an isolated nuclear detonation in a US city and a declaration of martial law. Such an event could be the inaugural event opening the 7-year Tribulation period.
A limited nuclear event would get the US involved in 3 terrible simultaneous wars. These revenge-filled wars would serve to make the US appear to be the bullies of the world giving Russia and China a case to strike back without much objection by the rest of the world.
A war with Syria fulfills Isaiah 17:1-3 which says "When Damascus ceases to be a city and becomes a ruinous heap.... the fortress of Ephraim shall cease". The Great prophecy of the Flood was the death of Methuselah, the Oldest Man Man ever to live. Maybe there is a parallel prophecy involving the oldest city in the Last Days.
A war with Syria and Iran re-fulfills the prophecy in Daniel 8 regarding Alexander the Great (Goat) going to war against the Ram: Medes (Syria) and Persians (Iran). It may be that America turns out like Greece and is divided into 4 like Greece was after going to war with Persia following the death of Alexander. Google the map "Divided States of America" to see how the US is projected to be divided up. This map was leaked from Russia several years ago.
Patriarch Wolfgramm saw Northern Utah get suffer a nuclear detonation. Could Wolfgramm's vision be part of the nuclear Abomination of Desolation "that surely must be" or a separate prophetic precursor "Abinadi's Fire" event? You may know that Hill AFB services all US ICBMs. Thus it is a very strategic target to strike early on. You may not know that FEMA has built a super-morgue facility in downtown Salt Lake City. FEMA was supposed to be prepping for Katrina and Superstorm Sandy-like events. However, instead of hurricane or SARS/Flu preparations, FEMA has been instead building relocation centers, cemeteries, buying bullets, MRE's, body bags, grave liners, mass-casualty drills, and building a radiological evidence processing center here at SRS . I consider all these preparations to be purposeful.
With the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation in 2013, We could then expect the nuclear Abomination of Desolation in 2016 "in the midst" of Daniel's final 7 "Shabuas" and "After the election but before the inauguration" of the US President according to President George Albert Smith per Bro Horne. We then could expect Zion established around 2020 (Isaiah pun on seeing eye to eye?).
The Year 2020, by the way, may be a Jubilee Year, the 120th and final Jubilee since Adam left the Garden of Eden. This assumes that 1820 and the Restoration marked the 116th Jubilee. (The restitution of all things since the world began).
Just at the time when North Korea is threatening a detonation of a nuclear device in a US city; President Obama is cutting back and furloughing Customs personnel at our ports and borders.
