Fruititarianism believes that all food should be eaten raw, organic, and all natural as God intended it. The claim being that many nutrients are lost though the cooking and preparation process. Well, there is a shred of truth to this aurgument. It is clear that the extensive food processing that is done today strips many essential vitamins and minerals from food. We would all do better by avoiding processed foods that have become such a mainstay of the American diet. However, new research presents an interesting aurgument to the "raw is right" stance.
Lycopene is a molecule found in tomatos which has been shown to decrease a man's risk of developing prostate cancer. Well, it turns out that a fresh garden tomato is NOT the best sourse of lycopene. The best source just so happens to be good old American Ketchup. This aurgument seems to be a case of extreme pendulum swinging.
The truth is that certain vitamins and minerals are made more or less bioavailable by how the food is prepared. Nutrients in raw foods have a different bioavailibility than those in food which are steamed, boiled, fried, stewed, baked, or microwaved. The truth with regard to good health is to maintain a variety. Additionally, not only did God give us fruit to eat but he also gave us fire to cook it.

You run together fruititarianism (eating only the fruits of organisms rather than the organisms themselves) which is typically based in ahimsa in Hindi philosophy/religion and macro dieting and other Western diet fads. Fruitarianism is part of a world view, and has nothing to do with God (capital "G" anyways) and makes no claim about nutrient levels. It is about spiritual purity, not good health in the nutritionist's sense. There may be a fruititarian fallacy, but you've failed to identify it here.
Actually, it has alot to do with God, since before sin (the 'Fall'), this was the first diet (which was perfect, by the way) for man. Eating this way enables one's mind to be clear and not 'foggy' and God speaks to us trough our brains anyway....it is the diet for healthiest skin, hair, nails, eyes, organs, physical stamina, optimum healthy weight....now, I will add that it is true that tomatoes and carrots nutrients are more enhanced when cooked, but they are the exception, not the rule...and by the way, a device such as the Vitamix (no, I don't have one)will break the cell wall of foods, which also causes more nutrition to be available for absorption...I know a man who was already a vegan and he looked so healthy... but is now a frutitrian and I haven't seen him in about a year or more, so he probably looks even healthier. This man is a devout Christian and I am a Christian too, but you don't have to be a Christian to take part in the healthiest eating forms. God bless! :)

BRoz:...problem with 'ketchup' is- it is one of the many foods that contains high-fructose corn syrup, which is one of the nasty things in life.... :( and isn't it better to get the nutritional delivery through a cooked tomato, as opposed to a highly processed food such as ketchup?
About it having to do with God... If eating this way lets us be closer to him, and that is in any way pure or better, then why when this was first instituted as you say "before the first sin" was there ever a sin to be committed? By that argument, eating this way leads us all to sin.
Furthermore, all science will tell you that the healthiest diet is one in which you get the most variation and nutrients. If you have to take some man made supplement to fully break down what you are eating, then that's missing the point. Eat natural, eat pure, have your ketchup but just make sure it's organic and natural, and you'll live for ages.
As scientific backup, look at the world's centenarians - all those that live to be over 100 years old. They all eat all kinds of food. Nuf said.
