My sister’s daughter was autistic. She was cured using DMSA treatments. DMSA is a heavy metal chelator, but I don’t know if its the chelation or sulfate/anti-inflammatory effect that is the mechanism. My niece looked like she may have been a dependent on her parents her whole life, but after DMSA she sugnifycantly improved. She has since graduated college, with a degree in spacial education and is employed and independent and as normal as can be. Now I am encouraging another sister to do DMSA with her autistic son. Many autism protocols involve S-containing substances like allicin, ALA, DMSA, and N-acetyl cysteine, taurine, and SAMe.

Chamtech Antenna
Chamtech is a private Utah company in Sandy and Heber, UT. A couple of ham radio guys invented this in their basement. They created the company Sutera/nCAP and hired tech grads to explain how it works. The product never came to market but got bought up by US Millitary because it works too well and possibly under water. (Sub coms). The secret sauce seems to be something like carbon-based conductive paint, mixed with fine/nano copper powder and titanium dioxide powder.

Brett Cananaugh vs. 4th Amendment
4th Amendment
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Judge Kavanaugh helped write the Patriot Act, and wrote opinions justifting warrantless electronic surveillance of American’s doing away with “effects” of the 4th Ammendment.
Judge Kavanaugh also is an opponent to the 5th and 6th Amendments. Working for George W Bush, he developed laws justifying torture, and allowing the US to name anyone an “enemy combatant” and hold them indefinitely without due process.
Again, American’s were so distracted by the assault allegations, there wasn’t enough time or attention given to asking Kavanaugh about his judicial record and how he interprets the Constitution. Kavanaugh has already and would likely support continued erosion of the 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th amendments as much as liberal judges mught support errosion of amendments 1 and 2.
US Conservatives think we won a major political battle with the confirmation of Brett Cavanaugh. Justice Cavanaugh replaces Justice Kennedy and it would seem that the divided Supreme Court has just made a huge conservative swing. Many conservatives hope a conservative Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade or at least support federal defunding of Planned Parenthood. But Kavanaugh has said over and again that Roe v. Wade is “settled law”. Furthermore, Kavanaugh has supported the Patriot Act, Torture, liberal designation of Enemy Combatants, and expansive digital surveillance. So, while neo-conservatives who support increasing federal survalence, may consider Kavanaugh’s appointment a win, I think this may be a big lose for the constitution.

Transgender Assumptions
I think we get wrapped up in disagreements about how best to deal with a symptom and we fail to address the underlying problem. The problem with illegal immigration is not amnesty vs. building a wall, but helping Mexico be a safe and productive country. If Mexico was safe and productive, Mexicans would naturally prefer to stay in Mexico. Instead of spending 70 billion on a wall, why not invest 70 billion in the Mexican economy.
My wife Ruth points out that the issue of transgenderism is similar. We disagree on how to deal with the symptoms and fail to address the underlying problem. The problem is not pronouns and surgery, but dealing with arbitrary gender stereotypes. Many things that we associate with gender ARE arbitrary social contructions. However, other things are not. We need to equally respect some men who biologically may be a bit on the disagreeable side, as well as those who might be more naturally agreeable.
My wife has some empathy for women who like “guy-stuff”, are more assertive, and don’t like to be “girly”. She also has empathy for men who may not be naturally athletic, or brutish, but tend to be more sensitive, desire to be beautiful, enjoy domestic duties, raising children, and enjoy close interpersonal relationships.
That said, being a female and woman means much more than great hair, nails, and fashion. Womanhood is about the bravery of risking death and health by baring children, if able; dealing with the associated health complexities and hormones. And being a woman is about loving, nurturing, teaching and raising children; whether they be your own or others. Making gender just about fashion is absolutely arbitrary, superficial and cheapens what it means to be female.
1. All people deserve respect, love and kindness, even those we disagree with.
Yes, absolutely!
2. Gender is not genetic or physiologic but an arbitrary social construct.
Objectively speaking. Males are born with a X and Y chromosomes, and females are born with double X chromosomes. It is true that a small monority some people are born with XXY, XYY, XXX, and XO (aneuploidy). Others are born with hermaphrodism (intersex) or pseudohermaphrodism cased by mosiasism or androgen insensitivity. But these rare cases is not what the transgender movement is referring. Apart from rare exceptions, if you genetically carry XY chromosomes and you phenotypically carry male reproductive organs, you are male. If you genetically possess XX chromosomes and phenotypically posses female reproductive organs, you are female.
It is also true that in addition to differences in sexual organs, there are other physical and psychological sex differences. While human males and females share many similarities overall, the differences are more pronounced at the extremes. Human males, generally speaking, are taller, have higher muscle mass, and broader shoulders. Human females, have higher body fat, and wider hips (during years of fertility).
It is true that many things associated with gender that ARE social conventions. Style, like hair, clothing etc. are social conventions. But just because style elements are social conventions doesn't mean gender itself is just a comvention.
3. Transgenderism is not a psychiatric disorder.
DSM IV and DSM V consider transgenderism to be a psychiatric disorder designated as gender identity disorder, and gender dysphoria.
The average suicide attempt rate in the general population is 4.6 % Among those with gender dysphoris, that suicide attempt rate is 41%.
4. Elevated suicide rate is caused by social persecution, ostracizing, shunning, and bullying.
Other persecuted groups like ethnic minorities and religious groups do not exhibit similar suicide rates even under greater social pressures and abuse. (African Americans, US Japanese during WW2, etc).
5. Laws should be passed to force individuals to adopt the gender preference of transgenders.
All people deserve respect, love and kindness; especially those with a clinical paychiatric disorder. I personally have no and have had no issue with using the gender pronoun of choice of a person. I think I would have difficulty using made-up gender neutral pronouns “Zhe” and “Zhr”. I would consider this a violation of religious belief were gender is an inherent aspect of our eternal identity .
Also, being foced to adopt the dillusions of someone with a paychiatric firoder does note harm then adopting and validating their gender identify disorder and dysphoria. The law doesn’t require that I
6. The law should not only mandate speech but also punitively fine and incarcerate individuals who refuse to use certain desired pronouns or gender neutral pronuns classifying this refusal (non-speech) as hate speech and micro-agression.
The law can prohibit certain speech that incites violence, but must never coerce that individuals speak a certain way.
7. Those who perpetrate micro-agressions deserve maximum and unrestrained repensatory macro-aggression and violence in return.
Violence is never warranted, especially if considered retribution. Also, taking vengeance and revenge is not Christian, nor is it legal. Christians are to overcome evil with good.
8. Whatever is good feels good.
In our post-modern, desconstructionist world, some claim there is no ultimate truth, there is only what is good and what feels good. Therefore, if you have an opinion, and your opinion hurts my feelings, then it must be false and must be bad.
The truth is, that truth is true regardless of how you or I feel about it. Vegetables are scientifically proven to be good for you, but to a first-time consumer, most veggies taste bad. You have to aquire a taste for some inconvenient truth just like some vegetables.
9. There is no truth.
In our post-modern, desconstructionist world, some claim there is no ultimate truth, There are only the privileged oppressors and the disadvantaged oppressed. All arguments are not about truth but just equally valid arguments that are meant to maintain one’s power and position. Whatever argument attracts people to your side wins and is just as valid as any other reasoning.

TREK Doctor
Having been on Trek 4 years ago, I have a feel for what sorts of things I saw on-trail and what supplies I used. This may or may not be helpful to you. I am less sure of conditions the Lodge Dr. treated and what materials he used.
Trek Medical List:
1. Hot/Cold: Trek being in the winter is not overly hot during the day, but can be very cold in the AM. It is still possible to overheat and dehydrate. The carts are heavy and a muddy trail can be a slog.
2. Hydration: We encouraged individuals and families to drink plenty of water water. All individuals are given a tin drinking cup and all carts are outfitted with a water jug, but many carts are guilty of placing their water jug in an inaccessible position. We should also have scheduled rest and hydration stops.
3. Feet: Children should be encouraged to double sock. Inner sock should be thin/shear nylon, acrylic and outer sock cotton or wool. Broken-in cross-trainers, light hikers are preferred. Heavy hiking boots are not necessary. Children and adults should be encouraged to apply mole skin over hot spots before they become blisters.
4. Meds: Children and their advisors should manage the children’s own daily meds.
5. Insects: no mosquitoes and few other bugs that I can remember. Bug spray wasn’t necessary.
6. OTC Meds: My rule of thumb was that if a child had a condition that was simply treated with an OTC med on-trail, I didn't feel like I need to contact parents or get permission.
Motrin- headaches, aches (prefer)
Tylenol- headaches
Emetrol- nausea (usually exertion related => rest, shade, water)
Robitussin- cold and cough
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste- chaffing
Neosporin- scrapes, minor cuts
Benadryl- allergy, hives
Zyrtec- allergy, nondrowsy
Chlorhexadine- surgical disinfectant
Imodium- mild diarrhea
OTC Meds were individually dispensed using Ziplock baggies, mini dixie cups, and plastic spoons.
7. Ortho: the physical demands of Trek and moving heavy handcarts sometimes through mud and up hills resulted in several minor othopedic issues.
ACE Bandage- very popular, and reusable.
4X4 Gauze- works well with ACE or Coban
Bandaids (varous sizes)
Cold Packs or ICE Bags- very popular
Knee Sleeves- used several
Ankle Sleeve- used several
Coban- I prefer ACE Bandages
Mole Skin
SAM Splints
Silk Tape
8. Female: This wasn’t an issue but having a few maxi probably wouldn't hurt. Girls generally get these from their female adult advisors.
9. Lodge: A few children will become homesick or dislike the cold, or walking, or sleeping arrangements and will present with nonspecific, vague symptoms. These can usually sleep on a cot in the lodge and be transported to camp for activities and meals.
Children with severe blisters, feet or knee pain which visibly impacts their ability to walk (limp), should stop the Trek, stay at the lodge, and can participate at activities and meals. In some cases they can ride on the cart
10. Call Parents: If I am tempted to give the child anything more than OTC meds, or do any procedure, apart from an absolute emergency, I’ll call and get permission from parents. This mainly would apply to using dermabond, staples, sutures or giving Zofran. I would seriously avoid doing anything more than dermabond. However, simple finger cuts are actually best treated with splinting and no closure.
10: Return Home: Inevitably, someone will come down with severe gastroenteritis as soon as they arrive. They will have woken up sick but hoped in vain that they would feel better. They should not continue. Noro viruses are very contagious.
Generally speaking, any condition that should visit the ED, that child should stop the Trek, have their parents called, and they should go to the ED. We will have children from the Greenville stake which is a 3+-hour drive for parents.
Emergency Supplies: (What I have)
Fabric Litter/Stretcher
Cervical Collar
SAM Splints
Epi Pen
Benadryl
Dexamethasone
Hydroxyzine
Suture Kit
Staple Gun
Dermabond
Lidocaine
Albuterol Inhaler + Spacer
Airway- Ambu bag, nasal trumpets, small O2 tank with mask.
BP Cuff
Finger Pulse Ox
Otoscope
Petscription Pad and Stamp
11. Radio/911: We are in continual radio/phone contact with the lodge at Lake Leitner and Fort Gordon has its own EMS.
12. Camp Rounds: Each night I clip on a blinking bicycle light (camp visibility) and visit all the carts/families.
13. Walking: 4 years ago, I walked the Trek. However, inevitably there were needs at the front of the caravan, middle, back, and then at the front again. This was way too much walking. So, I’m looking to use an ATV this year.
14. Adults: Also require treatment for various simple ailments.
15: Perscriptions: I may write an antibiotic like a Z-pack and a medrol dose pack. I don’t write opioid pain meds or benzodiazepines. I might do Motrin 800mg and Robaxin 750mg
16. Walmart is not far, and trips can be made to get needed supplies.

OCEAN: The Big 5 Personality Factors
OCEAN Test:
https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/IPIP-BFFM/
Factor I was labelled as Extroversion by the developers of the IPIP-BFFM. Factor I is sometimes given other names, such as Surgency or Positive Emotionality. Individuals who score high on Factor I one are outgoing and social. Individuals who score low tend to be shut ins.
- Extraversion:
- Enthusiasm - positive emotion and sociability
- Assertiveness - drive and dominance
Factor II is labeled as Emotional Stability. Factor II is often referred to by other names, such as Neruoticism or Negative Emotionality (in these two cases interpretations are inverted, as Neruoticism and Negative Emotionality can be though of as the opposite of Emotional Stability).
- Neuroticism:
- Volatility - irritability, anger, and difficulty controlling emotional impulses
- Withdrawal - susceptibility to anxiety, worry, depression, and sadness
Factor III is labeled as Agreeableness. A person high in agreeableness is friendly and optimistic. Low scorers are critical and aggressive.
- Agreeableness:
- Compassion - empathetic emotional affiliation
- Politeness - consideration and respect for others' needs and desires
Factor IV is labeled as Conscientiousness. Individuals who score high on this factor are careful and diligent. Low scorers are impulsive and disorganized.
- Conscientiousness:
- Industriousness - working hard and avoiding distraction
- Orderliness - organization and methodicalness
Factor V is labeled as Intellect/Imagination. This factor is also often called Openness to Experience. People who score low tend to be traditional and conventional.
- Openness/Intellect (or Openness to Experience):
- Intellect - ingenuity, quickness, and intellectual engagement
- Openness - imagination, fantasy, and artistic and aesthetic interests
The two metatraits are Stability, which is composed of Big Five factors of Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Emotional Stability (the reverse of Neuroticism) and Plasticity, which includes the Big Five factors of Extraversion and Openness/Intellect (commonly referred to as Openness to Experience). Stability is defined by one's maintenance of stability and hypothesized to be related to the neurotransmitter serotonin, while Plasticity is seen in one's adaptability to novelty and hypothesized to be related to the neurotransmitter dopamine.
The False Dilemma
YES!! I totally agree here. I think if you came out like an OT prophet like Amos or Jeremiah, or like Abinadi, you’d get prosecuted for hate speech. So, I do not pretend to know the correct approach. But I’m disappointed about how most Christians and LDS have lazily taken sides in a game where Satan controls both sides. You almost need a 3rd-party Samuel the Lamanite right about now.
It’s super hard when you want an Amos or Abinadi, or an Alma wielding the sword of Laban against Amlici, to be an Ether who was commanded to hide himself in a cave and watch as the Jaredites fight to the last man.
I agree with the Lord’s direction to befriend Mammon, renounce war, sue for peace, and focus on temple work. Purchase Zion with money. Use the virtue of the word of God, turn the other cheek, and overcome evil with good, etc (D&C 98:16; D&C 105:38; D&C 63:29)
However, being blind to reality leads us to being less unified in how to solve many problems. Satan loves to create 2 sides to many issues and we love to pick sides when both sides are only party right but also partly wrong. Satan loves to give us false dichotomies and false dilemmas. Unfortunately we adopt more extremist ideologist because we are too complacent to think of more moderate 3rd options.
Capitalism vs. Communism: are both wrong. We can have free market system where capitalist still exist but without needing to rely (be controlled by) on them.
Democrat vs. Republican: Democrats are wrong for pushing socialism and abortion. Republicans are wrong for pushing pre-emptive war, and so-called free (slave) trade.
Corporatism vs. Socialism: A study my Zurich Institute of Technology discovered “the Super Entity” that all multinationals were controlled by same group of elite investors. (too bad they didn’t publish a list of names)
Fiat Currency vs. Gold Standard: One side has imaginary money, the other is limited by limited gold supply.
Protectionism vs. Corporate Colonialism: One side leaves the 3rd-world to rot, while the other uses multinational corporations to exploit and pollute poorer nations.
Pre-emptive War vs. Police State: One side says “lets get them over there before they get us over here”. The other side promotes the creation of a control grid that would monitor our every thought.
Single Payer vs. Death Panels: One side advocates the government completely control Healthcare, the other side suggests we just pull the plug on certain people.
Traditional Marriage vs. Civil Union: neither side can adequately define marriage and ignore the civil rights of children to be conceived by and raised by a husband and wife. At the same time same-gender couples must be allowed to co-habitate without discrimination except when it comes to children.
We can “sue for peace”, but what good is it to call for peace when we take sides, support all these extremist ideologies, or remain silent, when these extremist ideologies are bringing us to conflict and war.
If we hadn’d been directed otherwise, I would be tempted to pay taxes as a church, renounce my 501c3 status, just so I could be free to speak truth and suggest balanced and equitable 3rd options. We just shy away from anything controversial, political, or economic. All the while, the government is encroaching on social and traditionally religious institution. As government politicizes more and more issues, pretty soon, everything will be political and their will be nothing left for religion to comment on. We are losing ground.
The LDS Church has been running scared since its beginning. We ran away (were run off) from New York. We ran from Kirtland. We ran from Missouri, We ran from Nauvoo. We ran away from early racial equality fearing being labeled abolitionists, We ran away from Johnston's Army. We ran away from the State of Deseret. We ran away from polygamy. Today, when it comes to politics, economics, and increasingly many social issues; we are still running out of fear of losing our 501c3 status.
If we are to purchase Zion with money, then doesn’t that mean purchasing our right to express truth on any topic. Is Zion only real-estate, or is Zion more. Does purchasing Zion with money involve purchasing the right to speak truth on any issue: social, political, economic, and scientific?
Marriage, Family, Adoption, Individual Welfare are institutions of religion and not government.
Socialism/individual welfare is bankrupting our country and it's not even government’s job.
Government needs to get out of the business of religion. But, if religion did its job (welfare with accountability), then people wouldn’t need the government handouts (welfare without accountability). Since are not to “speak evil of the leaders of the people”, even if they are a bunch of “whited walls”, we could call churches to do their duty with regard to welfare and virtue. But I’m not sure we’ve figured out our own welfare problems. My Path is a good start. But here is the thing...... It would be easy for me to criticize, Monday-morning quarterback, etc. But, I absolutely see how what LDS leaders could say would seriously disrupt, upset, and ruin the lives of millions of people. That is why I continually reiterate, what the Church does or says is none of my business. I’m just pointing out the frustrating predicament, that destruction/war/tribulation/judgement is the only way out.
But on the other hand. If there were an inspired, creative, equitable, moderare 3rd option, those with the rights to revelation would be the ones to receive it. I’m glad its not me. I’m thankful you are called to do what you do just like your thankful I work in the ED and deal with those difficult challenges. People talk about the vengeful God of the OT. I don’t see it. It’s a lie. What I see is a merciful God who was extending a deal with Israel (Johanan) for deliverance even while Babylon was invading.
I love the idea of a conservative judge like Brent Kavanaugh that might tip the Supreme Court to repeat Roe v Wade, etc. But Judge Kavanaugh is very likely guilty of the allegations. You can’t be best friends with Mike Judge, creator of “Bevis and Butthead” and author of “Wasted: Tales of a Gen X Drunk” and not be, at least, guilty by association. Kavanaugh would do better to admit and appogize for youthful indiscretions and mistakes and admit, he doesn't recollect his inappropriate behavior, he was likely drunk, not in control of his faculties, and very ashamed, and apologetic for his behavior at 17. Instead, all we got was “I like beer”.
