First Aid Lecture


Prevention: Ounce of prevention is worth pound of cure. 
Let people know where your going
Dont be stupid 
knives (cut away), Axe, (baton, blood circle)
fire, heights, water, cold, hot, sun, insects, wildlife, weather, eye protection, power tools, helmet
Feet (appropriate shoes, double sock, mole skin)
know group medical condition and allergies

CPR:
Unresponsive patient: "are you ok?" "help"
"you call 911" "you find AED"
Airway: look listen feel, jaw thrust
Check pulse
Rescue breaths and chest compressions
Heimlich Maneuver (no noise)

Conditions:
Asthma, Anaphylaxus, Hypoglycemia, Siezures

Bleeding:
Direct pressure and tourniquet

Fractures:
C-spine, Immobilization, Sling, Splints 

Environmental:
Heat Exhaustion/Stroke
Hypothermia/Frostbite
Burns
Snake Bite (car keys, no ice, no, no, no)
Water Rescue (reach, throw, row, tow)

OTC Medications:
Constipation (Miralax, colace)
Pain reliever
Nausea, Diarrhea
Cold and Sinus.
